Alma Itzhaky, (b. 1984) lives and works in Tel Aviv, has received her Fine Arts Diploma from Hamidrasha School of Art, Beit Berl College (2005), and graduated the Advanced Interdisciplinary Studio Program at Hamidrasha School of Art (2012). Currently, Itzhaky is teaching at the interdisciplinary art department at the Shenkar Academy. Itzhaky’s paintings and drawings are rooted in the social and political reality of Israel. Her work has been featured in numerous local and international solo and group exhibitions, most recently in a solo exhibition at the Tel-Aviv Museum of Art (2015). Among numerous prizes and scholarships Itzhaky was granted the Rappaport Prize for a Young Artist (2014), and the Osnat Mozes Painting Prize (2012).

In addition to her work as an artist, Itzhaky engages in writing and philosophy. She is an alumnus of The Adi Lautman Interdisciplinary Program for Outstanding Students, at Tel-Aviv University and currently writing her PhD in philosophy at Tel Aviv University. Itzhaky focuses on Psychoanalysis, aesthetics and Political philosophy.
