Gallery artist Rami Maymon is the winner of the Rudin Prize for Emerging Photography

We congratulate artist Rami Maymon on receiving the prize, presented every other year by the Norton Museum of Art in West Palm Beach, Florida. Maymon, nominated for the honor by Israeli artist Adi Nes, was chosen over three other photographers to take the prize.

The selection was taken by the Norton’s Photography Committee, along with Executive Director Hope Alswang, Curator of Photography Tim B. Wride and Beth Rudin DeWoody, who serves on the committee and is the daughter of the prize’s namesake, the late Lewis Rudin.
A group exhibition of works from all four nominees is on display at the Norton Museum through January 11, 2015, with selected pieces from each artist entering the museum’s permanent collection.
