Gallery artist Rami Maymon to receive the Lauren and Mitchell Presser Award for Young Israeli Photographer
Hezi Cohen gallery congratulate artist Rami Maymon on receiving the Lauren and Mitchell Presser Award for Yong Israeli Photographer. The award is given by the Tel Aviv Museum of Art this year for the first time, and will include a solo exhibition in the museum.
The selection committee mentioned Maymon’s ability to create a unique and subtle relation between photography and complex material installations, and his ongoing, in-depth, exploration of the medium of photography and the changing position of the photograph as an object, a sign and a symbol.
